What can a WMS do for you and your warehouse?

A Warehouse management system provides the following key benefits when implemented.

Don't depend on your warehouse manager

Being dependent on the efficiency and productivity of an individual for a business brings huge risk to the business as all business owners will tell you. Optimus brings about a controlled process making sure that you won't have any issues expanding the warehouse in the future or if you have any future staff changes. The process stays the same and everything is electronically managed. Nothing is manual.

Find where all your products are

By providing the exact location of the goods sough after, you're actually cutting down time taken to figure out where things are. The FIFO (First in first out) feature also provides you with control over shelf life and better material cycling. Moreover, the accuracy you can get by scanning the Barcodes or RFID reduces human error.

Optimize your warehouse space

Optimus can give you a view of how well your warehouse is being utilized. This graphical piece of information will allow you to make a decision on whether to sub-let your warehouse or move towards getting a bigger space.

Reduction on labor costs and manual handling

Doing a pick and pack is a matter of keying in a lot number (unique lot number produced when storing of incoming goods), going to a location and then doing the normal bar code scanning and pick. This information will be sent over the wireless LAN and provides the management real time information on the warehouse performance.
